Detoxing on whatever day yesterday was, well, it did not go so well. I could not make it another 48 hours between Effexor dosages. But when I take the medication I go into a brain frenzy of anxiety attacks. And when I do not take them, I manage to become electric and have currents and bolts zapping my body and brain. So which is worse? On or off this monster pill? I think I may die before I succeed just from exhaustion. Trying to figure out what I am supposed to feel makes me sleepy. And happiness makes me clean and eat more. So am I like some freak who has split personalities but they all know each other? This is not right.

Sorry the detox isn't going so well. Neither anxiety or electric currents sound pleasant. Isn't there anything the doc can perscribe to help? Is he switching you to another med? I hate to see you suffer so.

Oh crap. I've heard about those brain n body zaps. Sounds horribly nasty! The only good thing I can say about it is that I've also heard that it does go away. Sounds like it might take you a bit longer to wean off it. What a hassle. Hang in there girlfriend. The zaps won't go on forever. *big hugs atcha* And happy new year (LOL sounds weird to stick that here, but hey, I do hope 2009 is a ton better for you)

hey Megan, thought I'd drag my "bipolar blogger" alias over here -- this is Robyn of the Hotties too, aka Immi. I know a blogger gal who's something of a lay expert on withdrawing relatively painlessly (comparatively) from psych meds. I'm going to email her and see what she says about Effexor and maybe you can back off in a way that doesn't cause so much nasty effects. I'll email you what I find out. *hugs*

Hi!! Thanks for leaving a comment on our blog. The cat toy is from Walmart, although they do not sell it online. The cats love it the first day, but they don't think its that fun anymore. Then again, they have so many toys to play with.
